A Family Tradition for Over 40 Years

DiVieste’s Banquet Centre was founded by brothers Joseph (Joe) & Bartolomeo (Bart) DiVieste in 1975. Both brothers were in the restaurant business in the years prior and were catering many events at various churches, clubs and other social halls in the area. The lack of adequate banquet centers and space for these special events led Joe and Bart to create their own facility specifically designed to accommodate a variety of banquets. New Year’s Eve of 1975 was their inaugural event in order to showcase the newly-built banquet facility to the community. The Candlelight Room boasted a large 41 x 40 dance-floor, two solid brass chandeliers imported from Spain and seating up to 600. The room was also able to be divided into 2 rooms with seating up to 250. Within a few short years, an additional room was added (The Fireplace Room) completed in 1979 to accommodate the growing need for more space with seating up to 300.

DiVieste’s has overseen a variety of weddings, banquets, anniversaries and other special events over their 45 years in business. With each passing year, new ideas or trends have come and gone and the DiVieste Family has tailored their approach to each them. The support of the Trumbull and Mahoning community has allowed DiVieste’s to remain a powerful force in the banquet industry. It is not uncommon for the facility to host Wedding Receptions from the same families over generations, or have organizations that have continually used the facility over the 45 year time period. The entire family is extremely grateful for the continued support from the community.

DiVieste’s is owned by Joseph M. DiVieste, the son of founder, Joe. Joseph is assisted in his daily activities by his son, Joey and wife, Denise. Bart retired in 2012 and his brother, Joe, continued working until he passed away in 2019. All family members continue the tradition of excellence that Joe & Bart started, and maintained throughout their tenure: Providing exceptional service while maintaining an affordable price. The DiVieste adage has, and will continue to be ‘DiVieste’s, Where We Treat You Like Family.’
